G&G Holistic Drug Rehab Helping You Feel Comfortable During Rehab

You have decided to enter a drug rehab program because you are tired of living the way you do now with your substance abuse addiction. You have made the first step towards regaining your normal life and you are to be highly commended.

You will be initially entering as an in-patient; that is, you will remain on the premises 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a specific period of time. Because of this, you may be wondering what personal items you can bring with you.

The personal items a client is permitted to bring vary from facility to facility. Of course, clothing and toiletries is allowed; however, some facilities may limit or restrict the amount and types you may bring.

For instance, some facilities-G&G Holistic Drug Rehab is one-may specify that any liquid items, such as after-shave, mouthwash, and other things be alcohol-free. Additionally, they may specify clothing should not advertise substances of abuse, nor should it be in a style that may be considered too revealing or provocative. We ask that you honor this request, also.

Comfort and freedom of movement will be the main guideline, especially if the rehab program at your facility involves physical exercise such as yoga, workout sessions, or other sessions.

Additionally, some facilities may restrict the type of personal entertainment items you may bring for when you have free time. These may include books or other similar items. They may not be allowed at all, or may have to be approved by staff.

Some facilities do not allow any type of personal communication devices, such as cell phones, personal computers, or other similar items while they are an in-patient in a rehab program. Their reasoning for this may be to shield you from outside influences or circumstances that contributed to your substance abuse.

At G&G Holistic Drug Rehab, we do allow personal entertainment items, such as books, and personal communication devices. We feel that sometimes total isolation from family members and loved ones can cause stress. We encourage personal contact through electronic devices such as cell phones and personal computers. If stress becomes a factor, we will address that during the drug rehab program sessions.
